Mutarazi Falls

The Mutarazi drops off the escarpment into the Honde valley in two stages totalling around seven hundred and sixty metres, which makes it the highest waterfall in Zimbabwe and one of the higher ones in Africa. It runs strongly in the rains and thins considerably in the dry season. A skywalk of suspension bridges and a long zip line were built at the lip in recent years, and paths run along the escarpment edge.

When to go

December to April is the wet season and the fall is at its strongest. By late in the dry season it thins to very little. Mist on the escarpment is frequent.

Things to know

Flow drops a great deal in the dry months. Mist closes the view often. The skywalk and zip line carry extra charges on top of park fees.
