Mont Lulu is the highest ground on Wallis, which on an island this flat means around a hundred and fifty metres, and a chapel stands at the top of it. From the summit the lagoon spreads out on all sides with its reef and islets, and on a clear day you can see the whole shape of the island at once, which is not possible from anywhere else.

When to go
May to October is the drier season. Mornings are clearest for the view. Cloud and haze reduce it at times.
Honest expectations
It is a short walk rather than a hike and the climb takes minutes. There are no facilities. The chapel is a working one and should be treated as such.
