Dray Nur and Dray Sap Waterfalls

The Serepok splits above these falls into two branches, and each drops over a basalt step: Dray Nur on the Dak Lak side and Dray Sap on the Dak Nong side, a few hundred metres apart with separate entrances and separate tickets. Dray Nur is the wider, falling in a curtain about a hundred metres across with a cave behind the water. The M'nong story attached explains the falls through a pair of lovers and a serpent. The complicating fact is upstream: hydroelectric dams on the Serepok control the flow, and in the dry season with the gates shut the falls can be reduced to very little.

August to November, after the rains, when the flow is highest. Half a day.

Before you go

In the dry season with the dams holding water the falls can be a disappointment - this is the main risk of the visit. The two sites charge separately. Paths near the water are slippery. Facilities are basic.
