Datanla Waterfall

Datanla is a set of falls in a wooded gorge on the Prenn pass just outside Da Lat, and it is the most developed of the city's waterfalls: a single-rail alpine coaster runs down the slope to the lower fall and back, there are cable and zip installations, and canyoning operators use the gorge below. The canyoning has a serious safety record - a 2016 accident in which three British tourists died with an unlicensed operator led to prosecutions and tighter regulation, and further deaths have occurred since - so the choice of operator here is not a matter of price. The falls themselves are modest.

Honest expectations

Canyoning here has killed people, including in a well-publicised 2016 case with an unlicensed operator - only licensed companies with proper equipment should be used. The site is commercial and busy. Entry and each activity are charged separately.
