Uoleva lies just south of Lifuka in the Ha'apai group, an island with no village on it, a beach running most of its western side and two or three sets of simple huts where people stay. There is no power grid, no shop and nothing to do beyond swimming, walking and sitting. At low tide it is possible to wade across to Lifuka. Whales pass offshore in season.

When to go
May to October is the drier season; whales pass roughly July to October. Cyclone season runs November to April. Accommodation closes in parts of the year.
Honest expectations
There is no power, no shop and no phone signal in places; supplies come from Pangai. Accommodation is genuinely basic huts. Boats to and from depend on weather and arrangement.
