Rattvik's Langbryggan runs 625 metres out into Siljan, built in 1895 for steamers that needed deep water and now used for walking out over the lake, which is the thing people do here. By the church on the point stand the kyrkstallar, some ninety small timber stables where parishioners kept horses during services - the largest surviving group of their kind in Sweden. Church boats, long rowing boats that carried whole villages across the water to church, are still rowed in summer races round Siljan. Above the village the Vidablick tower gives a view over the lake, and Dalhalla quarry is a short drive north.
