Everland, in the city of Yongin just south of Seoul, is the largest theme park in South Korea and one of the most visited amusement parks in the world, a sprawling resort that combines thrill rides, gardens, festivals and animals across themed zones. Its signature attraction is T Express, a towering wooden roller coaster known for one of the steepest first drops of its kind, alongside a full range of family and thrill rides. But Everland is as much about spectacle and the seasons as adrenaline: it stages huge flower festivals in spring, most famously tulips, and dazzling displays in autumn and at Christmas, with parades and night-time shows. A safari-style zone lets visitors ride through enclosures of lions, tigers and bears, and the park has been home to celebrated giant pandas. It is a full, lively day out, hugely popular with Korean families and young visitors.

As Korea's most popular theme park, it is extremely busy at weekends and holidays, with long queues for the headline rides, so a weekday visit or a ride-reservation pass makes a big difference. It is a large park that takes a full day and a lot of walking. Views on keeping big animals in the safari zone vary, and some visitors prefer to skip it. It is a commercial amusement park, so expect that atmosphere rather than a cultural sight.
