Cape Mulinu'u

Cape Mulinu'u is the westernmost point of Savai'i and of Samoa, a low rocky shore with a scatter of sites that Samoan tradition attaches meaning to: a spot said to be an entry to the spirit world, freshwater springs in the rock, and a place associated with the passage of souls westward. The village manages access and collects a fee. The shore is lava and reef rather than beach, and the setting is exposed.
