Olivia Star

Olivia Star, finished in 2018, is the tallest building in the north of Poland at 156 metres, part of the Olivia Business Centre office complex in the Oliwa district of Gdansk. Its top floors are open to visitors: an observation level on the thirty-second floor with a terrace, and restaurants above it. The view is the point, and it is a good one because the geography is legible from up there - the whole Tricity strung along the coast, Gdansk to the south with the shipyard cranes and the old town spires, Sopot and its pier in the middle, Gdynia and its port to the north, the Bay of Gdansk opening east with the Hel peninsula visible as a line on clear days, and the wooded moraine hills rising behind the city to the west. Sunset over the hills and dusk over the bay are the times to go. Entry is timed and the deck is enclosed with a terrace section.

All year; sunset and dusk are best. Two hours.

Honest expectations

Timed tickets and limited slots, which sell out at sunset in summer. Glass reflections affect photographs. Nothing to see in low cloud or fog, which is frequent on this coast. The surroundings are an office park.
