The Village Show Days

Niue distributes its festival year village by village: the show days rotate the calendar - each community's annual turn to host the island at its green with umu-cooked feasts, dance groups running the programme, produce and craft competitions judged with agricultural seriousness, and the uga and catch displays carrying bragging rights.
