The Talava Arches

Talava earns Niue's drama prize: the track through coastal forest ducks into a cavern system - stalactites overhead, sand and rock underfoot - that passes through the cliff itself to emerge at the arches: great limestone spans framing reef pools and the swell's white percussion, the main arch vaulting cathedral-scale over the platform where low tide opens exploring and photographing range.
