The sentier littoral at Cap d'Ail runs along the shore just west of Monaco in France, a path cut and stepped along the rock below the cliffs and the villas, passing coves, rock platforms and the Plage Mala, a small beach in a cove reached only on foot or by boat. The path is around three kilometres and the sea is directly below the whole way.

When to go
April to October is the walking season. The path closes in rough seas. Summer weekends bring crowds to Plage Mala.

The path is closed in rough weather and sections have been shut for rockfall. It is steep and stepped in places, not a level stroll. Plage Mala is crowded in summer.
