The Mirror House

In a quiet Qadsiya street, an ordinary villa stopped being ordinary decades ago: Lidia Qattan, Italian-born artist and widow of Kuwaiti painter Khalifa Qattan, began sheathing the family home in mirror mosaic and simply never stopped - walls, ceilings, floors and facade disappearing under millions of glittering fragments arranged into planets, oceans, zodiacs and dreamscapes. Guided by Lidia's own storytelling for years and continued in her spirit, visits move room to room through themed universes while the house does its kaleidoscope work on every surface. It is outsider art of complete commitment - and the most personal visit in Kuwait.
