Turtle River Falls and Gardens occupies about fifteen acres in Ocho Rios where the Turtle River drops through a series of fourteen separate falls, engineered and landscaped into a garden with pools, koi ponds, bamboo groves and an aviary. It is a constructed rather than a natural setting, and it is quieter than Dunn's River: paths and bridges rather than a climb, and the gardens are the point as much as the water.

When to go
December to April is the drier season and the most comfortable. Flow is strongest after rain. Cruise ship days bring the largest groups to Ocho Rios.
Honest expectations
The falls are landscaped rather than natural and some visitors find that disappointing. The entry charge is high for the size of the site. Maintenance has varied between seasons.
