Konoko Falls

Konoko Falls sits on the hillside above Ocho Rios, a terraced cascade climbed on steps and rock with pools at each level, alongside botanical gardens, a small museum of Taino artefacts and a set of animal and bird enclosures. It is smaller and quieter than Dunn's River down the hill, which is its selling point: the same idea of climbing a waterfall without the coach parties. The view from the top looks down over the bay.

What you actually see

When to go

December to April is the drier season and the most comfortable. Cruise ship days fill Ocho Rios attractions and are worth avoiding. Flow is strongest after rain.

Honest expectations

The animal enclosures are small and their standard will not satisfy everyone. The entry charge is high for the size of the site. It is a managed attraction rather than a natural spot.
