sky100 occupies the hundredth floor of the International Commerce Centre in West Kowloon, at 393 metres the highest indoor observation deck in the city and inside the tallest building in Hong Kong. A lift reaches it in about a minute. The deck runs the full circuit of the floor with floor-to-ceiling glass, which means the harbour and the whole of Hong Kong Island on one side, Kowloon spreading north on the other, and the airport express line and West Kowloon cultural district directly below. Displays and telescopes explain what is visible. Being indoors, it works in weather that closes the outdoor viewpoints, and sunset slots are the ones that sell out.

When to go

October to April for the clearest air. One to two hours. Book sunset slots well ahead. Check visibility before buying; the deck posts current conditions.

Honest expectations

Haze and low cloud regularly reduce visibility to very little, and tickets are not refunded for weather. Reflections on the glass make photography difficult, especially after dark. It is expensive. The Peak and Braemar Hill give comparable views for less.
