Gadao's Cave near Inarajan holds figures drawn on the rock in charcoal and pigment, human forms and marks that are among the few surviving pieces of Chamorro rock art on Guam, and they are associated in tradition with Chief Gadao, a figure of legendary strength whose stories are told across the island. The cave is a shallow limestone opening close to the shore, reached on a short walk.

When to go
December to June is the drier season. The figures need decent light and are best seen in the morning. The shore path is slippery after rain.
Honest expectations
The figures are faint and have been damaged by graffiti over the years. There is no interpretation and the site is unprotected. The walk in along the shore is rough.
