Fox Bay on West Falkland is divided into Fox Bay East and Fox Bay West on opposite sides of an inlet, together making one of the larger settlements in camp. A wool mill operated here processing Falklands fleece into knitwear. The bay holds waders and waterfowl and the coastline nearby has penguin colonies. It is a working farming community rather than anything arranged for visitors.

When to go
October to April is the practical season. Winter is severe with limited flights. Bird numbers are highest through the summer.
Honest expectations
There is very little for a visitor and it functions as a working farm settlement. Accommodation is minimal and must be arranged well ahead. FIGAS flights change with weather constantly.
