Pasjaca lies under cliffs on the Konavle coast, and it exists because of engineering: when tunnels were driven through the hillside in the twentieth century to bring water and access to the fields, the spoil was tipped over the cliff, and the sea worked it into the shingle and sand strip that is now the beach. Access is a steep stepped path down from Popovici with a considerable descent and the same climb back. It became widely known after appearing in international beach rankings around 2019, and visitor numbers rose sharply; rockfall from the cliffs above has closed it at times, which is a genuine hazard rather than a formality.

Honest expectations
Rockfall closes the beach periodically and the warnings are real. The climb back up is hard in heat and unsuitable for poor mobility. There are no facilities and no shade. Parking above is very limited.
