Maga Point

Maga Point is the southern tip of Olosega, reached from the village by a path that climbs and traverses the coastal slope with drops below it and eroded sections that have made the route notorious among the few people who walk it. The point itself gives a view along the cliffs, over the channel and towards Ta'u. Seabirds use the rocks below. The path has been closed at times after storm damage.

When to go

May to September is the drier season. The path is dangerous when wet. It has been closed after storms.

Honest expectations

The path is eroded and exposed with serious drops; it is genuinely dangerous in places and has been closed. Nobody is coming to help if something goes wrong. Local advice should be taken before setting out.
