Thac Dai Yem drops in two main tiers, the upper of about fifty metres, on the Moc Chau plateau, with paths and bridges running along the rock beside it. The name means the blouse waterfall, from a Thai story about a woman who lowered her dai yem - the traditional bodice - to pull a drowning man out of the flood, and the fall is understood locally as her. Flow is strongly seasonal: the plateau's rain falls from about May to September and the fall runs well then, while by the end of the dry months it can be reduced considerably. A glass bridge and other attractions have been added at the site.

Honest expectations
In the dry season it can be disappointing. Added attractions at the site are charged separately and are theme-park in character. Steps are wet and slippery. It is busy in the Moc Chau blossom weeks.
