Hina Cave and 'Oholei Beach
A Tongatapu sea cave used as a performance space, above a south coast beach.

Hina Cave is a large sea cave in the cliff above 'Oholei beach on Tongatapu's southeastern coast, and it is used as a performance venue: a Tongan feast is served on the beach and the dancing and fire show run inside the cave with the audience seated on the sand floor under the rock. The cave takes its name from Hina, a figure who appears across Polynesian story.

When to go
May to October is the drier season. Shows run on set evenings and must be booked. Cyclone season runs November to April.
