Bjuroklubb sticks out into the Bothnian Bay east of Skelleftea, a nose of granite that the ice ground smooth and the sea has worked since - rounded slabs, boulder beaches and Djupklyftan, a narrow cleft cut into the rock that you can climb down into. The lighthouse of 1859 stands at the point with keeper's buildings around it, now partly a cafe and hostel in season. There are Bronze Age cairns on the high ground and a labyrinth cut in the stones. The land is rising here at several millimetres a year, so the shoreline is younger than it looks. Paths run over the headland and along the shore.

Honest expectations
The rock is uneven and slippery when wet. Facilities are seasonal and small. Wind off the bay is constant. It is a long detour off the E4.
