Bachledka Treetop Walk

The Bachledka treetop walk is a raised timber walkway of around six hundred metres running through the spruce canopy on the slope above Ždiar, built in 2017, with interactive stops along it and, at the end, a spiral tower thirty-two metres high that is climbed on a ramp and has a slide down the middle. From the top the Belianske Tatras fill the view. A chairlift runs up from the valley.

What you actually see

• The Belianske Tatras - the limestone range filling the view from the top.

When to go

June to September and December to March are the main seasons; the site runs year round with the chairlift. Weekends and holidays are extremely busy. Cloud hides the Tatra view often.

Honest expectations

It is a commercial attraction with entry and chairlift charged separately and prices that add up. Weekend queues for the lift and the tower are long. Cloud frequently removes the whole point of the view.
