Pitcairn has no harbour and only two places boats can come in at all, and Tedside on the western side is the one used when the swell shuts Bounty Bay. It is a rocky landing rather than a beach, with a jetty and a track over the island back to Adamstown. Western Harbour lies alongside it. Which side the longboats work from depends entirely on where the swell is coming from.

When to go
April to October is cooler and generally calmer. Which side is usable depends on the swell direction that day. Ships call only a handful of times a year.
Honest expectations
This is working infrastructure and not a visitor site. The track over the island is steep. Landings anywhere on Pitcairn are difficult and cancelled often.
