St Augustine's Square sits on the slope above Senado Square, cobbled and quiet, and four buildings within the UNESCO listing stand around it: St Augustine's Church, founded by Spanish Augustinians in 1591 and rebuilt in 1814, the Dom Pedro V Theatre, the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library in a nineteenth-century mansion, and the seminary a short walk downhill.
