Carmen Thyssen Museum

The Carmen Thyssen museum in Escaldes-Engordany opened in 2017 and does not hold a permanent display: it shows changing selections drawn from the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza collection, one theme at a time, running to nineteenth and twentieth-century European painting including impressionist and post-impressionist work. Shows change once or twice a year, so what is on the walls depends entirely on when you go.

There is no permanent collection, so what is shown varies completely and the gallery closes between exhibitions. It is small and an hour covers it. Entry is not cheap for the size.
