Treehotel

The Treehotel near Harads is a cluster of striking designer treehouses suspended among the pines of Swedish Lapland, each by a different architect: a mirrored cube that vanishes into the forest, a flying-saucer UFO, a giant bird's nest, a blue cone. It is a design pilgrimage and a unique, quiet forest stay.

It is a small, high-end design hotel rather than a public attraction, so it is really for those staying, and it is expensive. There is little to see for a casual visitor beyond the setting. It is remote in the far north, reached via Lulea.
