The hills at Brosarp are moraine ridges left by the ice, and they have been grazed rather than ploughed for a very long time, which is why the turf is short, thin and full of species - cowslip, rock-rose, thyme, several orchids and a long list of others through May, June and July. The northern hills are the best known section, with paths over open ground and views across the Osterlen countryside; the ridge continues south with more woodland. Cattle are on the ground through the season and gates must be closed. A heritage railway runs from Brosarp to Sankt Olof in summer with steam on some days.

Honest expectations
Outside the flowering months it is plain grazing land. Cattle are present and paths cross their ground. There is no shade. Facilities are limited to a car park and the village.
