Bledne Skaly

Bledne Skaly - the errant rocks - is a field of Cretaceous sandstone blocks on a plateau at about 850 metres in the Stolowe Gory, where weathering along a rectangular joint pattern has separated the rock into house-sized blocks with straight-sided gaps between them, and a marked route of about six hundred metres threads through the gaps. The point is the narrowness: several passages, with names like the Rat's Passage and the Tunnel, close to well under half a metre, and people carrying rucksacks or of larger build genuinely cannot get through some of them and have to use the bypasses, which the park signs. The name comes from how easily people got lost here before the route was laid out. Access is by a single-track toll road operated one-way on a timed system, so there is a wait at the barrier in season. Moss and lichen make the rock green and the corridors dim.
