Sindibad has been the family park of Casablanca since the 1970s, and it was rebuilt and reopened in 2017 as a larger site on the coast at Ain Diab, west of the city. It is split into zones: mechanical rides from small carousels up to a roller coaster and a drop tower, an animal park with big cats, primates and birds, and a water section that opens in the warm months. Shows and events run through the school holidays. It is not a large international-scale park and the interest is mostly local, but for anyone travelling with children in Casablanca it is the main thing of its kind in the city.
What you actually see
- The ride zone - carousels, a roller coaster and a drop tower.
- The animal park - big cats, primates and birds in landscaped enclosures.
- The water area - pools and slides open in the warm season.
- The coastal setting - the Ain Diab seafront immediately outside.
When to go
Spring and early autumn give warm weather without the summer crush; July and August are hot and very busy, especially at weekends and in the evenings. Weekday mornings are quietest and queues shortest. The water zone runs only in the warm months, so check before buying a combined pass.
Honest expectations
Prices add up quickly, as different zones and rides need separate passes, and food inside is expensive. Queues at weekends are long for a park of this size. Maintenance is uneven and rides are sometimes closed without notice. The animal enclosures are modest and will not satisfy anyone who cares about zoo standards. This is a local park, not an international one.
Nearby
The Ain Diab corniche and its beaches are alongside, and the Hassan II Mosque is a short drive east.
