Puerta del Diablo

The Puerta del Diablo is a rock formation on the ridge south of San Salvador where a single mass has split into two towers with a gap between them, framing a view south over the valley toward Panchimalco and, on clear days, to the Pacific. Steps and paths climb both towers, which are exposed with steep drops and no railings on parts. The site sits above Los Planes de Renderos and is a standard weekend outing from the capital, with food stalls, zip lines and vendors at the base. The ridge is part of the Balboa park area, and cloud forest vegetation covers the slopes below.
