Cas Abao Beach

Cas Abao is a privately managed beach on the leeward coast where an entrance fee per vehicle buys a wide stretch of white sand with thatched palapas, a bar and restaurant, showers and loungers, which is a different proposition from the free public coves along the same coast. The reef starts a short swim out and drops away steeply, which makes it a standard shore dive. Massage huts under the trees are part of the setup.

When to go

Year round; open daily with set hours. Cruise days and weekends are busiest. Closing time is early evening.

Honest expectations

There is an entry fee and loungers cost extra on top. It closes in the late afternoon, so sunsets are not an option. Cruise days fill it completely.
