Peradayan Forest Reserve

Peradayan protects a block of forest in Temburong district with a marked trail climbing through it to the summit of Bukit Patoi, a sandstone ridge with rock outcrops near the top and a view over Temburong and into Sarawak beyond. The path is stepped for much of the way and takes around an hour and a half up. A longer route continues to Bukit Peradayan for those who want more.

What you actually see

When to go

Year round; Brunei has no dry season worth the name. Mornings are cooler for the climb. Heavy rain makes the steps slippery.

Honest expectations

The steps are slippery in the wet, which is most of the time. Leeches are present on the trail after rain. Facilities amount to a car park and a shelter.
